      Description of problem:

ExternalDNS Operator creates the operands enforcing empty defaultMode for volumes which conflicts with the defaulting made by OpenShift. This provokes the unnecessary reconciliations.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

      1.0

      How reproducible:

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Install ExternalDNSOperator
      2. Create ExternalDNS CR for any provider
3.1. See the update events for the operand deployment in external-dns-operator namespace
3.2. Try to edit the operand deployment in external-dns-operator namespace to add an additional container

      Actual results:

      - Continuous update events on the operand deployment
      - Failure to update the deployment

      Expected results:

      - Operand deployment should not be updated constantly
      - Operand deployment should accept extra containers
