Per rhn-support-algonzal and gvanderp@redhat.com in Slack, customers sometimes mistakenly use oc delete node when deleting a node. This is not a supported way to delete a node, and per joelspeed has no effect.

To delete a node, you must delete the corresponding machine. Deleting the machine is what is documented, but a note about not using oc delete node would help prevent confusion/issuing incorrect commands.
