IHAC for their one of the OCP ENV, they upgraded from 4.11 to 4.12.9 in April 2023 where vsphere CSI driver was introduced. The pre-requisite for vsphere CSI driver i.e. VMWare HW version 15 is not met for almost 109 nodes out of total 131 nodes. Still the Storage CO is in Available: true state and vsphere CSI pods are running properly. vsphere-csi-driver-node pod is running on each node.
After that, Cu has upgraded from 4.12.9 to 4.12.26 and then 4.12.35 where everything related to CSI is running fine.How the vsphere CSI driver rolled out successfully even the pre-requisites were not met?
