Description of problem:
Disconnected ACM install fails importing the OVA with a "use of closed network connection" error.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
OCP 4.11.48 and ACM 2.8.3 with MCE 2.3.3.
How reproducible:
Very reproducible for customer.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use ACM to deploy on-premise OpenShift cluster following the documentation for a disconnected vSphere IPI install with network customizations. 2. Local Artifactory mirror registry. 3. Cluster using DHCP server on same subnet. 4. OVNKubernetes
Actual results:
vSphere starts the 'Deploying OVF Template' step. It usually gets to 28% before the ACM deployer gives up after 60s.
Expected results:
Install to complete successfully.
Additional info:
VMWare vSphere version 7.0.3.01700, housed in a 4 host Cisco Hyperflex cluster with a NFSv3 backend. Artifactory is hosted on the same vSphere hardware as the OpenShift clusters. The core cluster runs on 10G links. Same install configuration in same environment and infrastructure succeeds using the openshift-installer binary. Confirmed port 443 access is open to the vCenter and ESXi hosts. Curl test from provisioning pod to hosts are successful. However, the rsh into the provisioning pod does not last long enough for a longer curl test - over 60 seconds.
