When reading the Documentation on the Openshift Local Storage Operator it mentions that you need to enable monitoring while you install the Operator [1]. It does not mention how you enable it, just that you need to enable it during installation.

The below methods  can be added in documentation.

1. During graphical installation of the Openshift Local Storage Operator you need to select the checkbox "Enable Operator recommended cluster monitoring on this Namespace". This checkbox is not available if the Namespace "openshift-local-storage" already exists.

2. You need to add the label "openshift.io/cluster-monitoring=true" to the namespace containing the operator. This can happen at any point before, during or after installing the Operator.
