Namespaces will randomly fail to delete when executing "oc delete project <namespace>"

"message: 'Failed to delete all resource types, 1 remaining: unexpected items still remain in namespace: eph-branch-ej7ol1 for gvr: /v1, Resource=pods'"

The projects are managed with a pipeline. Part of the pipeline is to delete the project using "oc delete project <project>" when no longer needed.
When the namespace fails to delete it will never delete and requires manually deleting the namespace.
No persistent storage in the project
