Additional info:
https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.13/installing/installing_vsphere/installing-vsphere-installer-provisioned.html#installation-launching-installer_installing-vsphere-installer-provisioned In "Deploying the Cluster", Step 2d - "Specify the user name and password for the vCenter account that has the required permissions to create the cluster." We should add a note that says something like "If the vCenter account provided is based on Active Directory, the user must have <domain>\ prepended to the user for the permissions checks to complete properly." Here's the actual feedback from the customer. "We use Active Directory based service accounts for VMWare integration. When generating the install-config, you can use just the simple username for vCenter access (we could see the login occur without issue in the VMWare logs), but AD based users must have the <domain>\ prepended to the user for the permissions checks to complete properly."
