As mentioned when selecting device-ids for LocalVolumeSet and if LocalVolume did not specify an specific device-id, we should always prefer wwn- and scsi- symlinks.
Again to reiterate, for LocalVolume objects, if customer did specify an alternate device-id such as /dev/disk/by-id/crucial-xxxx then, that ID should be used rather than wwn-* or scsi-* version. If customer did not specify an ID, then wwn-* or scsi-* version should be used.
For LocalVolumeSet, we should always prefer wwn- and scsi- symlinks.
