      Description of problem:

Consumer POD gets PTP events error when stopping PTP from the Switch side and keeping NIC port open

      time="2022-12-23T18:12:57Z" level=error msg="failed to send(TO): /cluster/node/zt-sno5/sync/ptp-status/lock-state/uX0DP result context deadline exceeded "

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

      4.11.6

      How reproducible:

      always

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. install AMQ and PTP, and configure PTP and setup a consumer POP for events by connecting it to AMQ interconnect
      2. once PTP events are working ; disable the PTP from the Switch
here is an example how it is configured on a Cisco switch
      ***************************************

      interface TenGigE0/0/0/16
      description VCP-ZT-sno5_ens1f2_MH_to_Leaf
      mtu 9216
      ptp
        profile master
        port state master-only
      !

so in order to disable PTP on the switch remove the 3 lines from PTP (the 3 lines after mtu 9216)

       3.
watch the consumer logs and the linux-ptp-daemon logs for the different containers including cloud-proxy-event
if consumer pod has a cloud-poroxy-event container get the log too

      Actual results:

      deadline exceeded error

      Expected results:

event must continue to be received without the error : deadline exceeded
