(1/13) Downloads and other areas in the UI need to accommodate OpenShift 5.
trking wrote: I'm not familiar enough with console.redhat.com to be confident in auditing myself, but at least this uhc-portal code will need adjusting, with PLMCORE-14942 suggesting https://access.redhat.com/product-life-cycles/api/v1/products?name=Openshift+Container+Platform. And maybe there are other places in OCMUI code that currently assume that we're talking about OCP 4, that will need softening now that we might be talking about other major versions as well.
Another location that may need updating is https://console.redhat.com/openshift/install/multi/pre-release and similar currently linking into https://mirror.openshift.com/pub/openshift-v4/multi/clients/ocp-dev-preview/pre-release/amd64/ and similar. Maybe those are backed by this uhc-portal code? I've opened ART-14361, asking ART where they plan to put OCP binaries (maybe still under openshift-v4, but maybe not?), and updating those links in console-dot code will be blocked on ART-14361 at least committing to a policy for where they plan to put OCP 5 extracted binaries.
And yes, https://console.redhat.com/openshift/releases that's at least one place that needs changing. I also link https://github.com/RedHatInsights/uhc-portal/blob/dc720f0b5ccc430e8763da7d285f04fc8e2af479/src/common/installLinks.mjs#L5 and similar with their current /openshift-v4/ that may need updating depending on ART-14361. There may be additional locations that also need change; I'm hoping someone from OCMUI can help for auditing in that space, because I'm not confident that my "grep around for likely keywords" is going to catch everything.
Todo
- Epic needs to be assigned to resource to Refine
- Need to investigate other places in the OCM UI where OpenShift 5 needs to be represented.
