We use multiple terms, such as alert routing, alert receivers, alert notifications, etc. to descrive the same thing (just referring to it by its parts)

This needs to be unified to stop causing confusions. 

In the introduction to the section, it should also mention the other terms for searchability and clarity but keep the actual headers consistent.

Process: Configure receivers (such as email, slack, pagerduty) -> create routing so that Alertmanager routes correct alerts to your receiver (basically filtering) -> the user receives notifications for the alerts.
