Several customers have requested additional information regarding the new components, such as Vector and Loki, especially as Elasticsearch and Fluentd are being deprecated. Customers are now being encouraged to migrate to Vector and Loki for their logging needs.

As a result, they seek a deeper understanding of the differences in formatting and processing between Vector and Fluentd, beyond what is covered in the vector.toml and fluentd.conf configuration files. The same request applies to Loki.

Providing this additional information will help customers determine which solution best fits their specific requirements.

Additionally, we have received feedback[detractor]  from a customer in support case #03910435, highlighting concerns about this lack of information.

The absence of this crucial information in our documentation is also leaving engineers without the complete context needed to effectively assist customers from a support perspective.
