Section https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.14/observability/logging/logging-6.0/log6x-upgrading-to-6.html (and the same one in 4.16 doc, e.g.) does not contain sufficient instructions to help admins upgrade their CLO deployments.
We need clear instructions and probably also full examples so that our customers can upgrade in-production deployments of CLO 5.x to 6.x without data loss and with minimum downtime of the web interface.
