[RFE] Possibility to delegate the collector scaling to an advanced Event Driven Autoscaler (e.g.: KEDA)
Proposed title of this feature request:
OpenTelemetry - possibility to delegate the collector scaling to an advanced Event Driven Autoscaler (e.g.: KEDA)
What is the nature and description of the request ?
The SOGEI S.p.A. (Account Number: 509799) is asking for the possibility in Open Telemetry v.0.119.x [1] (or next versions) to delegate the collector scaling to an advanced Event Driven Autoscaler (e.g.: KEDA)
Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements)
One of the most critical point on the Customer side is connected to the scaling of the collector PODs (replica number defined via CRD).
The possibility to delegate the collector scaling to an advanced Event Driven Autoscaler (e.g.: KEDA) could allow the implementation of a more efficient scaling mechanism of the collectors PODs
Could it be possible to include this capability in the next Red Hat Build of Open Telemetry ?
List any affected packages or components.
