Managed Services Tenants increasingly need support for Short Term Token authentication in hosted clouds.  This provides a more secure methodology for authentication since the tokens expire more frequently.

Increasingly, customers are requesting the capabilities to send Logs and Traces to major cloud endpoints and have the authentication secured by Short Term Tokens.  The following endpoints are in particularly high demand:

      • AWS Cloudwatch
      • Google Cloud Logging
      • Azure Monitor

The desired outcome of this feature would be that both Cluster Logging Operator and the OpenTelemetry Collector be able to send signals to all three of these endpoints and have the connection secured with Short Term Tokens.
