Red Hat maintained Operator SDK is deprectated as of OpenShift 4.18.
This epic will track the necessary steps/requirements for transitioning maintenance of the Operator SDK to sustaining engineering from the OAPE team.
Products that require continued maintenance:
- Ansible base image
- Ansible sdk plugin
- Helm base image
- Helm sdk plugin
Planned timeline:
OpenShift 4.18 - OAPE team owns release and support
OpenShift 4.19 - OAPE + Sustaining release continued supported products, transition to Sustaining
OpenShift 4.20 - OAPE has fully transitioned ownership of Operator SDK to Sustaining engineering.
