This issue tracks the upstream Velero GitHub issue #9243 which is part of the Velero v1.18 milestone.

Description

Velero should be able to run multiple backups at the same time, provided they are not in conflict.

The solution is to implement the feature as described in https://github.com/vmware-tanzu/velero/blob/main/design/concurrent-backup-processing.md
