As per https://github.com/openshift/oadp-operator, the latest RH OADP Operator version is 1.1.3 and runs Velero version 1.9.5 

Services Australia has reported an issue wherein Velero Restic backups work only where there is no emptyDir involved. If there are emptyDirs in a namespace, the backup just hangs and does not progress and eventually timesout and fails. Customer has mentioned there is no option to disable emptyDir backup.

This is a known issue in the upstream and as per https://github.com/vmware-tanzu/velero/issues/5805 the issue has been fixed in Velero version 1.10.1

Customer has also tested this without the OADP operator but using the Velero 1.10.2 version was able to successfully backup and restore pods with emptyDir.

This OCPBug is raised to request Velero version bump to atleast 1.10.1 for the OADP operator.

Backups fails for pods with emptyDir when using OADP operator that runs Velero version 1.9.5 

As this is a known issue in Velero 1.9.5, Velero requires a version bump to 1.1.0 that contains the fix.
