FlowCollector YAML is continuously getting updated if Kafka is installed

    • NetObserv - Sprint 231, NetObserv - Sprint 232
    • Important

      Version: 0.0.0-main (from quay.io/netobserv/network-observability-operator-catalog:v0.0.0-main)

Note: This is not a problem in 1.0.0.

Install Network Observability Operator. Install AMQ Streams for Kafka.  Create a FlowCollector resource.  For the deploymentModel, select KAFKA.

Go to Operators > Installed Operators. Click "FlowCollector" link. Click "cluster". Scroll to the bottom to the Conditions section.

In the Reason field, it will flicker between no message and "Failed to reconcile" message. You will also see that the Updated field is essentially the current time since it keeps getting updated. If you edit the YAML, it will continually say "This object has been updated." even if you reload, and you won't be able to update the YAML.
