      one thing that we noticed is that now that we create the kafka topic both the ebpf agent and the transformer fail to connect to kakfa. This is normal as they try to connect before the topic is ready. The issue is that they never recover from that error. You can easily recreate that error by setting auto-create to false on kafka.

      We should retry connections after failure.
