NewInformer can now be overridden in cache options: https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/controller-runtime/pull/3061

Maybe it can be useful for our narrowcache, as the original issue that led to this cache was having informers being too greedy in memory/bandwidth. Or maybe it won't help or simplify anything, and the current implementation is sufficient. To be checked.
