Currently, only Ingress metrics are enabled by default. Now that the console plugin uses prometheus metrics as its preferred datasource, this might be hiding some traffic such as:

• Traffic to services (it only appears as Egress)
• Traffic to cluster external workloads

We should enable Egress metrics by default, too
We should also measure if it has any noticeable performance impact
