      Goal
The idea of this user story is to rebase the openshift fork of the AWS Load Balancer Controller to the latest viable upstream version. The viability of the upstream version has to be accessed as a part of this story. The criteria are to be defined by the engineering and include (but not limited by):

      • vulnerability fixes
      • runtime updates (controller-runtime, golang)
      • breaking changes: API relies on certain upstream flags (vpc-id, aws-region, ip mode feature gate, etc.)

      Currently used upstream version: 2.4.4.

      Acceptance Criteria

      • Document describing the diff between the currently used upstream version and the latest one we would like to rebase to (example doc)
      • OpenShift fork rebased to the latest viable upstream version
      • ALBC image containing the latest version is integrated into ALBO (example PR)
