      This is a Blocker issue for Tech Preview

      Gateway API does not support re-encrypt so a solution needs to be designed and implemented through the community process.  

      https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/gateway-api/discussions/1285 documents the background and preceding attempts to push this issue through the community process.

      Provisional enhancement proposal https://gateway-api.sigs.k8s.io/geps/gep-1282/ may inform the work.  Pull Request https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/gateway-api/pull/1430 still in progress.
