      Epic Goal

      • This epic intends to collect a bug of CI-related improvements related to error detection and notification under a single epic.

      Why is this important?

      • Currently, there are a subset of things in CI that can be discovered and sometimes even resolved with automation.
      • Automating these items reduces the burden on the CI team as a whole, and helps use improve our response time when these issues come up.

      Scenarios
      1. It should be possible to audit community images on a regular cadence to ensure they don't fall out of sync with the upstream. (This can be coupled with alerts when this is detected, and auto-resolution attempts via a controller.)
      2. It should be possible to automate a post-submit job to auto-sync CI images when they are added to openshift/origin.
      3. We should be able to detect with CI detects a crash / core dump in our logs and post a notification of the event to a channel.

      Acceptance Criteria

      • Detection / notification and auto-resolution in place for CI openshift/origin images.
      • Detection / notification of crash dumps in for multi-arch CI jobs.
