NICs change during the conversion by virt-v2v and this results in NICs that are set with static IP in vSphere to lose their IP. There is a semi-supported pre-migration hook that was written to solve this for Windows guests: https://github.com/fabiendupont/ims.premigration-windows

The scope of this task is to productize a playbook that uses this script to make it easier to consume by users

      Related to -https://issues.redhat.com/browse/MTV-12-

Edit: we found an alternative way to do that which is by getting the static IP from vSphere (assuming VMware tools are installed) and ask virt-v2v to set the static IP with the `–mac` argument(s)
