Currently the default destination accessMode in a StorageMap will choose ReadWriteOnce even for some storage type which support ReadWriteMany (such as RBD).

This can be modified by editing the StorageMap CR YAML manifest but it cannot be done in the MTV web console UI. The end user isn't warned either that they're about to migrate a VM with settings that will prevent Live Migration.
