Migrations of VMs with a shared RDM disk fails

XMLWordPrintable

    • Critical

      Description of problem:

Migrating 2 VMs with a shared RDM disks in 2 different migration plans using copyoffload.
In the first plan I enabled the migration of shared disks and the VM was successfully migrated.
After that, I created another migration plan to migrate the other VM, in this case I disabled migration of shared disks. The second plan creates 2 populate pods, one for the OS and the other for the shared RDM disk - even if the migration of shared disks was disabled. The second migration plan fails in ImageConversion step. Logs of virt-v2v container are attached.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

      MTV IIB 2.11.0-37
      OCP 4.20

      How reproducible:

      Always / N%

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1.
      2.
      3.

      Actual results:

Migration of the second VM fails

      Expected results:

Only the populate pod for the OS disk should be created in the second migration plan when the option to enable shared disk migration is deselected. Both migration plans should succeed
