Summary:

 MTV testing has relied on using Netapp A300.  This epic is about the setup and on-boarding of an additional high speed storage, IBM FLashSystem 7300 in RDU2 scalelab.

Description:

This story focuses on all activities related to on-boarding the new IBM storage for ISCSI, FC connectivity.  Once the storage is functional and an acceptable storage performance is validated it will be available for MTV testing.

Aims:

The following areas should be addressed under this epic.

• Coordination between IT, tego, and operators in Scalelab
• Planning, Defining and managing network segments for ISCSI traffic to/from IBM storage and ESX hosts (should be done with future Portworks/Powerflex needs in mind)
• FC Physical cabling to existing FC switches
• Zone management to include relevant hosts
• Administration/training related tasks, required initial setup, configuration, and administration of the IBM array (e.g., storage pools, LUN creation, host mapping). 
• Initial IO benchmarks, MTV baseline on new storage
