[UI] Enable AWS EC2 migration with new provider

[UI] Enable AWS EC2 migration with new provider

The underlying engineering work (Epic MTV-2997) enables the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization to directly connect to and migrate VMs/instances from Amazon Web Services EC2 to the target container host environment. This significantly expands MTV's reach into hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

      Technical Writer Scope

This task requires extensive new content across the guide, focusing on the unique aspects of cloud-to-container migration. Key documentation areas include:

      1. New Provider Setup: Detailed, step-by-step procedure for adding AWS EC2 as a new Source Provider in the web console, including required fields (e.g., access keys, secret keys, region endpoints) and the IAM permissions needed on the AWS side.
      1. AWS Prerequisites: A dedicated section outlining all necessary preconditions on the AWS platform (e.g., specific instance snapshot requirements, security group configurations, or required resource tags).
      1. Migration Workflow: Documenting any specific differences in the Migration Plan wizard when migrating from AWS compared to traditional virtualization platforms (e.g., handling instance types, network mapping for VPCs/subnets, or disk sizing differences).
      1. UI Alignment: Ensuring all steps and screenshots related to the new AWS provider creation and migration workflow are accurate within the UI procedural guide.

      JTBD Statement:

"When I have workloads running on AWS EC2 that need to be centralized or modernized in my local container host environment, I want a reliable, officially supported mechanism to treat AWS as a source provider so that I can efficiently migrate instances off the public cloud and consolidate my Virtual Machine operations onto a single platform."

      Documentation Task

The documentation task (MTV-3753) supports this job by addressing the primary sub-job:

"When setting up the AWS provider, I need comprehensive guides on IAM permissions and networking configuration so that I can establish a secure and functional connection between the AWS cloud and MTV without risking my cloud security credentials or encountering access errors."
