When filtering the provider VMs and selecting a folder, it selects all the vms in the folder including those who filtered out.

1. Create plan with wizard, and fill the first step (vsphere source provider)
2. on virtual machines step add any filter that filters some of the vms
3. select the folder and all vms in the folder are selected

just the vms left after filtering are selected
