Today, MTV warm migration first transfers the disks and then converts the guest. But the customers need to wait some time before the disks get transferred, and if the guest conversion fails, it fails after all that time. It's not user-friendly when the users need to restart the VM migration after TB disks have been transferred, but the migration fails.
As a VM owner, I want the VM migration to fail early, even before the VM is shut down, so that I can adjust the VM or skip the guest conversion.
