Today, we have implemented the smart defaults for storage via a new Provisioner CR that both the controller and the UI can use. In parallel, CNV Storage team is working to create PVC Profiles with the goal to expose storage provisioners capabilities.

When it's part of CNV, we need to update our code to leverage PVC Profiles, possibly with an additional layer specific to MTV.
