This epic would involve working with vddk-remote and nbdkit directly compiling them
then baselining the following cases

• nbdkit maxdata impact on AIO buffer size and count value over 16/4
• nbdkit unbuffered to true to enable VIXDISKLIB_FLAG_OPEN_UNBUFFERED
• baselining impact of compression types based on data disk layout

The out come of this effort would be that vddk-remote would give team ability to test around mtv and then make recommendations that benefit mtv

Possible challenges / impediments :

• compiling nbdkit with relevant flags to work with v2v might be complex
• working with vddk-remote may be challenging

The results of these efforts would give scale and perf team information to guide MTV regarding beneficial changes to improve migration speeds.
