Documentation for vCenter Permissions required to use MTV operator are not correct

      The documented permissions required to use the MTV operator for vSphere migrations here:  VMWare Prerequisites are not correct. If you create a role using the documented privileges and assign to an account you will be unable to complete a migration. 

      • The role I created is documented in "mtvdoc-privileges.png"
      • The assignment of the role is shown in "mtvdoc-assignment.png"
      • The results as shown in the provider list is shown in "providers-list.png"

      If you change out the account for an account with cluster admin privileges the provider fully populates and you are able to migrate a VM.

      I have recreated this problem in both 2.5.6 and 2.6.0.

      This was discovered as part of a PoC, and the customer would like to know the minimum required permissions that work to migrate a VM. Using cluster administrator is not acceptable.
