      Discussion scheduled on: OLMv1 Dependencies (mta-operator / mtc-operator) on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

      Please see notes document Notes - OLMv1 Dependencies (mta-operator / mtc-operator)

      Parent Outcome: https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPSTRAT-2600

During this working session we look to accomplish:

      • Assess your operator's current OLM v0 dependencies
      • Identify migration challenges and requirements
      • Develop a migration strategy with OLM Engineering support
      • Track progress through our shared tracking system

Due Date: Target: OCP version shipped in 2027

MTA (MTA-operator): The primary outcome is the intent to drop RHSSO (Keycloak) as a hard dependency.

Proposed Solution: Change the default behavior in MTA to turn off authentication by default. Users would manually install RHPK first, and the operator would then configure it when authentication is enabled. This removes the need for an OLM-based dependency solution for MTA. MTA only has a dependency on RHPK (RHSSO).
