      Description of problem:

I have 10,000 applications loaded. I'm using the application Inventory page filter to sort by app name. With many apps moving through the drop down list and clicking and removing apps from the filter becomes very slow (more so in Firefox than Chrome), and performs sluggishly and has 'jank' when scrolling the applications shown in the application inventory filter dropdown not the inventory page itself

Selected apps will update in the background after a bit of time, the reason for the bug is that the browser itself becomes very slow from this activity.

Note this seems to be more relevant to Firefox than chrome

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

      7.1.0-35

      How reproducible:

      consistent

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Load 10,000 Apps
      2. Browse to inventory Applications Page
      3. Select application filter, and filter by name which generatres a drop down

      4. Select and unselect apps in the drop down list or scroll through list of apps.

      Actual results:

Select and unselect apps in the drop down list or scroll through list of apps becomes low and difficult to use, browser slows down and becomes less responsive.

      Expected results:

Ability to click and remove apps from filter easily without sluggishness
