Description of problem:

During archetype creation/update operations, the following messages are seen if the criteria tag and archetype tag fields are omitted.
1) criteria field must have at least 1 items
2) tags field must have at least 1 items

Both the above messages could be replaced with something like this:
This field must have at least 1 item.
