Improve user and developer documentation

Despite our efforts to keep our code and user interfaces simple and clear, getting started with monitoring has a steep learning curve. We provide documentation for both users and developers, however both can be improved.

This initiative tracks work:

• to make users as independent as possible by making sure all relevant information is documented and easy to find

• to make new developers more independent as they onboard and get familiar with our code bases

• to make it easy for external developers to use and interact with our tooling and deployments
