We can only double scrape intervals for ServiceMonitors that CMO controls. In the single node context, should we double scrape intervals for all possible ServiceMonitors or only a selected set.

For some instances (say CMOs own ServiceMonitor) doubling the scrape interval will do very little, since it only exposes very few metrics.

Are there any metrics, for which we can not afford to extend the scrape interval?

Should admins get influence on the list of ServiceMonitors that get their scrape intervals doubled?
