Research how we could improve chunks flexibility in upstream Prometheus and have an early flush mechanism to survive temporary cardinality spike.

Also research what would be the impact of cutting smaller chunks in Prometheus.

One of the idea we've had so far was that the current mechanism is only based on time and it might be a good idea to also base it on the series count.
