It may be that a specific sequencer for VDBs need not be developed, and instead the ZIP file sequencer can be configured to operate upon ".vdb" files. If this is the case (and it should be the initial starting point), then this request can be marked as completed. However, if there needs to be any specialization (such as not extracting the metadata index files or other manifest files), then the VDB sequencer can likely subclass the ZIP file sequencer.
