Remove the jdbc util classes that duplicate common-core functionality

Due to the MODE-1215 problem, the jdbc util classes (which were copies of the common classes) should be removed and instead use the common-core classes, since common-core is already included in the modeshade client jar. This will also take care of the changes to logger that were not replicated.
