Support connectors to systems that contain their own versioning capabilities

    Description

      At this time, ModeShape JCR layer completely manages and controls all version history content, and the only way for a connector to support that is to use a custom connector for the "system" workspace. This makes it very difficult to write a custom connector to a system that has its own version management.
