ModeShape successfully registers custom node types with a Repository instance (either via the configuration or via the JCR API), but these node types are no longer available after the engine is shutdown and restarted. This presumes that the connector is properly persisting the content (e.g., JPA connector, Infinispan, etc.).

This becomes apparent when nodes that have the custom node types as primary or mixin node types are read back in after starting up, because ModeShape generates an error such as:

Missing primary node type "drools:categoryNodeType" for node /drools:repository/drools:tag_area/Home Mortgage
