Convert DVM to using Scribe

CC: jmatthews Maybe you can edit this / add some notes what you're envisioning here. Adding to track so it isn't dropped, but we discussed an interest in converting to use scribe rather than our own DVM implementation here in an effort to consolidate community efforts in the space.
