2 parts of MTC 1.4.0 are noticeably slower than 1.3.2:

First, when selecting a namespace and clicking next, finding the PVs associated with my namespace is looping for 10 seconds. So long that I am wondering if I should fast forward it in my demo.

Second, migrating shop-sock took 9-10 mins. In my previous recording, I believe it was 3-4 minutes.

We need to investigate this and get some concrete numbers on how much slower things are running, and understand exactly what's slowing things down / fix for 1.4.0. This will be critical for large users.
