Description of problem:

While migrating namespaces that contain PVCs:

• Namespaces are visible.

• Workloads are visible.

• However, PVCs inside the namespace are not displayed in the MTC UI.

• The UI does not allow selection/mapping of target StorageClasses.

This prevents storage migration configuration and blocks migration planning.

Actual results:

• PVCs are not listed in the UI.

• StorageClass mapping dropdown is unavailable.

• Cannot configure target StorageClass.

• Migration plan cannot proceed properly.

Expected results:

• PVCs in selected namespace should be listed.

• StorageClasses should be selectable for target cluster.

• Storage mapping should work consistently across supported MTC versions.

Additional info:

During namespace migration using Migration Toolkit for Containers (MTC), PVCs are not visible in the MTC UI. As a result, it is not possible to select StorageClasses for the target cluster.

This issue is observed when:

• Source & Target clusters are both MTC 1.8

• Source is 1.8 and Target is 1.7

The issue is not observed when both clusters are running MTC 1.7.
