As an MTC user, if I'm only interested in using DVM, there are a handful of dependencies that are only necessary for indirect migrations. In particular, we'd like the ability to set a switch on the MigrationController that disables the necessity for restic to be installed. We've had customers report issues installing restic as a consequence of it being a DaemonSet, when they actually have no need for it in order to accomplish their direct migrations.

There's probably a conversation here for OADP, but really what's in scope for this issue is our legacy operator install.
