When researching kustomize integration into crane flow (https://issues.redhat.com/browse/MIG-820) it was noticed that it could be possible to define all of the transformations as an overlay to a common base. This would allow us to deliver to customers a "base" that has no cluster specific information with "overlays" targetting specific clusters.
